MTC Highlights: Parshat Vayechi

Student Reflection

Ahuva Goldfield - Ulpanat Orot -ON Thornhill, ON

Throughout my life, the way I always connected to Torah and Judaism was by doing Chessed. To me, it was the best way to understand mitzvos and life. That’s the number one reason I chose MTC.

It’s so crazy to me because a year ago today, I never would’ve thought I would be in Israel right now. At the end of last year I decided to hop on an opportunity I was presented with. I decided to apply to MTC. I was super nervous because I didn’t know what the outcome would be but all I had to do was put in my hashtadlis and Hashem took care of the rest. That’s something I learnt even more so when coming to MTC.

The classes in the morning and the kids in the afternoon is a perfect balance. The one thing I absolutely love about the morning’s is that I’m really able to schedule so many chavrusah’s with so many of my teachers. They are always so excited and happy to have chavrusah’s and most of the time they’re the ones that ask you!! The connections that we build with them is definitely something that’s special and unique and definitely something I’ll cherish forever.

Recently I had the incredible opportunity of having my mom come to Israel! It was so beautiful having her here and seeing her connect with my kids. We planned an activity for them and it was so special to see my mom bonding with the girls and having her see what I get to experience everyday!

Definitely going to our kids every afternoon is incredible but sometimes it can get challenging. Connections really take time and nothing happens overnight. But the thing I keep learning everyday here at MTC is that if you’re patient and put in your hashtadlis Hashem will really take care of the rest.

I’m so happy to be apart of this beautiful family at bet elazraki & MTC and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store!
