Rav Yossi studied at Yeshivat Shaalvim for 3 years, and subsequently earned his BA in Psychology, Semicha, and MA in Education from Yeshiva University. In addition, he recently completed a Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from The Family Institute at Neve Yerushalayim. He has been involved in chinuch for the past 12 years, most recently in the Eretz Hemda Raanana Kollel.
Shira made aliyah after high school and has a degree in Social Work from Bar Ilan University. Before joining the MTC administration, she was Eim Bayit and Director of Student Activities at Machon Maayan for 5 years. Her combination of warmth, sensitivity and endless devotion to her students has made her a very popular teacher and educator.
Rabbi Baruch Felberman studied in Yeshivat Shaalvim and later received his BA in biology and information science from Yeshiva University. He continued his studies towards Rabbinic ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and his Masters from the Azrieli School of Jewish Education of Yeshiva University. After ‘Making Aliyah’ with his wife Alissa, he taught in numerous educational programs and served in the infantry unit of the IDF Central command .The family eventually settled in Nof Ayalon/Shaalvim. Rabbi Felberman was one of the founders and was director of Yeshivat Shaarei Mevaseret Zion. He brings to Midreshet Torat Chesed experience gleaned from his years as Rosh Midrasha MMY and Mashgiach Ruchani of Shaalvim for Women. Most recently he completed his studies and licensing as a tour guide by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.
Alexis is originally from Manchester, England. After completing high school, she spent two years learning in Sha’alvim For Women, making aliya after Shana Alef. She studied for her degree in Michlala Jerusalem where she received a B. Ed. with excellence in Tanach and Toshba. Since coming to Israel, she has worked in a number of different seminaries in various capacities, including madricha and teacher. In addition to teaching at MTC, she also currently teaches in SFW and in an elementary school in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City. Alexis is currently studying for her Masters in Jewish Philosophy.
Mrs. Ausubel has been an integral part of MTC from the beginning. Ellie moved to Israel from Manhattan, N.Y. , where she had been teaching Tanach and Mishna at Ramaz Middle School and at Maayanot Yeshiva High School. Prior to that, she taught at Midreshet Amit in Jerusalem. Ellie received her B.A. from Stern College and completed a teachers fellowship in conjunction with Hebrew University. She lives in Raanana with her husband- also Elli- and their three children.
Originally from Detroit, Sonya moved to New York to pursue her B.A in psychology from Stern College and then her MSW from Hunter College School of Social Work, specializing in group work. Sonya and her husband moved to Israel in 2009, and they now live in Raanana with their three children, where they work as one of the Rabbinical couples in the Anglo shul, Shivtei Yisrael. Sonya is actively involved in the community, and is well known for her work in teaching kallahs before their wedding and as a resource for married women in the area of taharat hamishpacha. Using her combined roles of rebbetzin and social worker, Sonya is a supportive resource for our students.
Rav Johnny is a passionate Torah learner, a reflective Torah thinker and an energetic Torah teacher. He studied at Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh and has a BSc (Hons) in Math and Religious Studies, a teaching qualification from the University of Hertfordshire, and Semicha from the Montefiore Kollel. Prior to making Aliyah in 2012 Rav Johnny taught Jewish Studies and was the Head of Judaic Studies at Immanuel College, and later, at Hasmonean Girls’ School. Rav Johnny teaches a wide range of subjects at MTC and at Machon Ma’ayan, and is also a Jewish Education Consultant for a number of leading Jewish organisations. Rav Johnny lives in Even Shmuel with his wife Donna and their five beautiful daughters.
Donna Solomon made Aliyah from London, UK with her husband Rabbi Johnny and five daughters 4 years ago. Donna has more than 20 years of experience in informal and formal Jewish Education, working in communities, schools and learning institutions. She is a graduate of the LSJS Susi Bradfield Women Educators’ Programme. Donna is passionate about finding, recognizing and teaching inspiration through music, art, creativity and Judaism and tries to combine all these in her teaching and daily living through being mindful and reflective.
While Rabbi Veffer may be most widely known as the inventor of the KosherLamp and founder of Kosher Innovations, he has been a leader in Jewish education and outreach for over 25 years. His breadth of experience in so many areas and his clear articulate delivery makes complex ideas seem simple. Reb Shmuel brings the world, and world events into focus through the lens of Torah. Rabbi Veffer combines his mathematical and scientific background with his Torah knowledge, and he has spoken around the world from Cambridge University, to the Old City of Jerusalem.
Esther is originally from New York and where she attended Touro College and Revel YU, majoring in Judaic Studies. In 2010, she made aliyah with her family, and she now lives in Raanana with her husband and five sons. Esther has a deep love for Torah and for teaching, while constantly expressing how much she learns from her amazing students.
Rav Barak Shloush learned for three years at Yeshivat Hakotel, received a BA in Economics from Yeshiva University and a Masters in Education from Azrieli Graduate School. Since making Aliya in 2011, he has been studying at Kollel Bet Yosef of Netanya and completing his rabbinical exams under the auspices of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. As a member of “Garin Eitan – Netanya”, he delivers a weekly shiur in the Anglo-Saxon community of Netanya. Rav Barak made Aliya five years ago and lives with his wife, Avital, in Netanya.
Naama has a teaching degree with a specialization in special education. She lives on the Beit Elazraki campus with her husband and three children and is a rakezet there for girls in grades 9-11. She teaches ulpan in MTC and gives our students a rich taste for the language and culture of Eretz Yisrael.
Atara is originally from Teaneck, New Jersey and made Aliyah with her family in summer of 2016 from Riverdale, New York. While living in America, Atara taught Tanach in Westchester Day School. She often learned with girls to prepare for their bat mitzvah as well as gave shiurim in the community. Atara lives in Raanana with her husband and three sons.
Rabbi Boruch Boudilovsky grew up in Glasgow and New York. After
graduating high school in Denver Colorado, Rabbi Boudilovsky moved back to
Israel where he studied at Yeshivat HaHesder Yerucham. After completing his
IDF military service as a combat paratrooper, he began studying in the
Jerusalem Mir Yeshiva, where he remained for several years. His education
included completing the Ohr La’Golah Rabbinic training programme, advanced study at a Brisk style Kollel based in Jerusalem, earning a B.Ed. in educational counseling, and completing an MA at King’s College London in the department of Religion and Theology. In the summer of 2016, after serving as a communal Rav in the United Kingsom for six years, Rabbi Boudilovsky moved back to Israel with his family to accept
the position of Rabbi of Young Israel of North Netanya.
